AI Business Analyst (Financial Institute)

My client is a leading Asia-based financial institution with a strong global presence, known for its comprehensive capital markets and wealth management services. They are actively investing in digital transformation and advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance operational efficiency, client experience, and decision-making within a highly regulated environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct business analysis for AI-driven initiatives, translating business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify and define AI use cases, embedding AI capabilities into end-to-end business processes.
• Perform feasibility assessments for AI projects, including evaluation of data availability, operational impact, and risk considerations.
• Contribute to the development of AI platform and application roadmaps aligned with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, solution architects, and external vendors to assess and select appropriate AI solutions and implementation approaches.
• Engage closely with business users, technology teams, and risk stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of AI initiatives in line with scope, timeline, and objectives.
• Manage key project activities including requirement sign-off, testing coordination, deployment, and post-implementation reviews.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, validating AI outputs, and coordinating defect resolution.
• Ensure adherence to internal governance frameworks, including project delivery standards, data governance policies, and technology risk controls, particularly in relation to AI usage.
• Produce and maintain high-quality documentation such as business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and user guides.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services or a technology-focused organization.
• Proven track record in delivering technology-driven transformation projects; exposure to AI, data analytics, or automation initiatives is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting stakeholders across front, middle, or back-office functions is advantageous.
• Strong ability to structure and translate complex business problems into clear, actionable requirements for technology solutions.
• Solid understanding of financial services processes and operating models; familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations is a plus.
• Exposure to AI-enabled tools and solutions (e.g., AI assistants, workflow automation, analytics platforms) from a business perspective.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Familiarity with Agile or iterative delivery methodologies is preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with effective problem-solving and process improvement capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese, with conversational Mandarin required.
