About the Role
Our client, a leading financial market infrastructure provider in Asia, is looking to appoint an Assistant Vice President (AVP) within their Post Trade Platform & Infrastructure team to support the transformation of derivatives market systems.
This is a key role focused on modernising trading and clearing infrastructure, working at the intersection of business, technology, and operations. You will play a pivotal part in driving strategic initiatives to enhance system capabilities, efficiency, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and translate business requirements into actionable solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
- Partner with business, IT, and operations teams to gather requirements and define system enhancements
- Review existing processes and platforms to identify opportunities for optimisation and efficiency improvements
- Validate proposed solutions to ensure they meet business needs and industry best practices
- Leverage data analysis and performance metrics to provide insights and support decision-making
- Support change management and implementation, including user training and transition activities
- Coordinate testing cycles (UAT, SIT) and ensure delivery meets quality standards
- Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and outcomes to key stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience within financial services or market infrastructure
- Strong experience in business analysis, project delivery, or system implementation roles
- Solid understanding of derivatives markets and products (equities, rates, FX, fixed income)
- Exposure to DCASS or derivatives clearing systems is highly preferred
- Experience in clearing, post-trade, or CCP-related environments is advantageous
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders
- Proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin is a plus)
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Background
- Experience working with:
- Exchanges, clearing houses, or major financial institutions
- Large-scale system transformation or infrastructure upgrade projects
- Knowledge of derivatives clearing workflows and risk processes
