Job description
My client, a reputable securities firm in Hong Kong, is looking for high calibre IT professional with strong exposure in cloud, server and network to join their IT team in Hong Kong office.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize IT infrastructure solutions with a focus on performance, security, and operational efficiency.
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, desktop environments, and cloud infrastructure across on-premise and cloud platforms.
- Deploy, configure, and support enterprise network equipment and connectivity solutions.
- Monitor and maintain network, server, storage, and virtualized environments to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and coordinate with vendors, service providers, and regional teams for timely resolution.
- Manage IT hardware, software, and service procurement activities.
- Support audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements by providing technical documentation and system information.
- Develop and promote IT policies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
- Provide day-to-day infrastructure and operational support to business users.
Job Requirements
- 5-12 years of experience in infrastructure, network, and server administration, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Strong hands-on experience in network management, cybersecurity, Windows/Linux server administration, virtualization, Active Directory, and backup solutions.
- Solid understanding of cloud environments, server room operations, domain management, and enterprise productivity platforms such as Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with HKEX connectivity, market data infrastructure, and Bloomberg environments is highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of Hong Kong regulatory and compliance requirements within the financial industry.
- Exposure to trading platforms, brokerage systems, or settlement operations is an advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain technical concepts effectively.
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
- Experience working with AI-enabled tools and automation technologies is a plus.
- Knowledge of SQL, PowerShell, Shell scripting, or other automation tools is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.
