Job description

Our Client, a reputable global law firm is seeking a Court Clerk to join their team. In this position, the ideal candidate will be a person who likes to be out and about (You will be of the office the majority of the time). You will attend trial and attend interviews with clients.

Job Duties:

  • Assist the legal team by filing legal documents and maintain case indices
  • Coordinate pick-up and delivery of documents including filing and serving court documents
  • Organise bundles to assist in preparation for hearings
  • Photocopy confidential files and assisting with electronic and physical document control
  • Draft and review court documents (Witness statement, statement of claim, statement of damages and revised statement of damages)
  • Drafting legal documents
  • Communicate and corresponding with relevant government authorities
  • Assist with solicitor to attend court, draft documents and arrange meetings and conferences
  • Liaise with various courts and agencies
  • Proof reading and editing documents and letters to clients/opposition/courts

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant working experience will be an advantage
  • Good interpersonal skills to assist with administrative tasks and legal tasks
  • Team player as you will be working with the legal team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • English (is essential for this post), Cantonese and Mandarin (Written & Verbal)
