Job description

Our client is a leading financial technology company with offices across North America, APAC, and the Middle East.  It is now seeking to hire an additional lawyer for its Singapore office.

Reporting to the APAC General Counsel, the successful candidate will work closely with key business partners across the region and will be responsible for handling a broad range of financial regulatory, investigation and litigation matters.  

Job duties will include providing regulatory advice to senior management and different business units, and keeping them abreast of, as well as providing them with regular updates on, key regulatory developments impacting the company. He/she will also be responsible for managing and resolving disputes and litigation and dealing with regulatory enquiries from the MAS.

The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience gained in the financial regulatory team of an international law firm.  In-house experience (either as full-time employee or as Secondee) gained with a financial services company is a plus. Fluent English and Mandarin skills are required for this position.
