Head of Regulatory Compliance - Corporate Banking

Job description

• Minimum 10 years regulatory/advisory compliance experience in commercial/corporate banking
• Prestigious international corporate bank
• Strong language skills in English and Chinese

Responsibilities

• Provide effective compliance advice and support to management as well as business stakeholders
• Ensure timely dissemination of regulatory update and issuance of compliance alerts to management as well as business stakeholders
• Promote and maintain an effective working relationship with internal business stakeholders as well as local regulators (e.g. HKMA and SFC)
• Act as the Personal Data Protection Officer of HK Branch
• Interpret local regulations to establish/review compliance policies and procedures in managing regulatory and compliance risks of HK Branch
• Establish effective mechanisms to track the progress of business stakeholders in complying with regulatory requirements and recommendations of regulators/auditors
• Monitor regulatory changes and developments in relevant business areas to ensure the relevancy/applicability of existing policies and effective implementation of any new policies
• Oversee and manage the design and delivery of compliance training to business stakeholders
• Take up ad-hoc projects as assigned by management from time to time

Requirements

• Bachelor degree holder preferably in Law, Business or relevant discipline
• Minimum 10 years of relevant compliance experience in Banking and Finance (With at least 7 years of Management experience)
• Solid regulatory experience across corporate banking, global markets and transaction banking
• Familiar with local regulatory regulations
• Excellent leadership and people management qualities
• Good command in written and spoken English and Chinese
