About the Company
Our client is a well-established international financial institution with a strong presence across Asia and global markets. As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Corporate Actions professional to join their Operations team in Hong Kong.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Corporate Actions specialist to take on a hands-on role covering multi-asset and multi-market events. You will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of corporate action events while ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end corporate action processing, including both mandatory and voluntary events
- Handle a wide range of events such as:
- Dividends (cash/stock)
- Tender offers, mergers & acquisitions
- Stock splits/reverse splits, spin-offs
- Cover HKEX, Stock Connect, and global markets (particularly US securities)
- Support products including equities, fixed income, structured products, and derivatives
- Prepare and distribute timely and accurate notifications to clients, brokers, custodians, and counterparties
- Monitor elections, entitlements, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain accurate records in line with internal controls, audit, and regulatory requirements
- Partner closely with settlement, cash management, and trade support teams
- Assist in reviewing and enhancing corporate action procedures and operational workflows
- Support ad hoc client requests and special events as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline
- 6+ years of corporate actions experience within a reputable financial institution
- Strong knowledge of global corporate action processes (HK, China Connect, US markets preferred)
- Experience in settlement or middle office operations is advantageous
- Solid understanding of multi-asset products is highly desirable
- Detail-oriented with strong risk awareness and control mindset
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English and Chinese
