Regional Audit Director, Corporate Banking

Job description

Responsibility:

The person shall be the Regional Audit Director responsible for reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of the Bank's operational, compliance, system and market risks control (including Treasury Operation risk), and providing the results of the review and recommendations to Management

Accountability:

• Develop audit programs for assigned audits based on risk assessment and audit schedule which include the review and evaluation of procedures and monitor the Bank's control of operational, compliance, system and market risks.

• Schedule audits to ensure the each area of the Bank is audited regularly, initiates spot and surprised audits when necessary.

• Present audit reports and recommendation to Head Quarters and to Branch Management in a comprehensive manner.

• Prepare and implement annual audit plan, budgets, objectives, standards and bank-wide risk evaluation.

• Maintain and enhance the rapport with the auditee Management to gain their confidence, respect and co-operation for the purpose of learning their operational needs and the “selling” of recommendation to ensure control and consistency throughout the Bank.

• Advise auditees proactively for procedures, process and risk control.

• Develop a good relationship with Compliance Department in order to keep abreast of compliance issues in the branches and to incorporate compliance risk controls into audit program.

• Co-ordinate internal audit programs with external auditors.

Requirement:

• University degree and qualified accountant with CPA, CIA or CISA membership

• Minimum 10 years solid experience in accounting and auditing in managerial position

• Sound knowledge in banking products (e.g., corporate banking/ credit, structured finance, treasury, etc.), related controls, regulatory requirements and banking systems.

• Possess in-depth knowledge in auditing, accounting, government regulations and bank's audit requirement

• Excellent communication and presentation skill

• Willing to travel on need basis

• Fluent language skills in both English and Chinese
