Job description
Our client is a global leader in financial technology with offices across North America, APAC, Europe and the Middle East. It is now seeking to hire an additional lawyer for its regional legal team based in Hong Kong.

Reporting to the Regional General Counsel, the successful candidate will work closely with key business partners across the region and will be responsible for handling a broad range of contentious and non-contentious financial regulatory matters.
The contentious side includes advising on regulatory disputes and investigations, and managing other contentious regulatory matters such as enforcement actions and dispute resolution. The non-contentious side includes providing strategic regulatory advice to senior management and different business units, and keeping them abreast of, as well as providing them with regular updates on, key regulatory developments impacting the company.
The successful candidate will be a Hong Kong qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of post qualification experience gained in the financial regulatory team of an international law firm. In-house experience (either as full-time employee or as Secondee) gained with a financial services company is a plus. Fluent English and good Mandarin skills are required for this position.
