Our client is one of the leaders in investment banking, providing comprehensive investment management solutions to customers around the world. It is now offering a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced regulatory/financial services litigation lawyer to join its Hong Kong office and to take on a vital role in the regional legal department.
The successful candidate will assist in handling various regulatory related matters, including handling regulatory inquiries from the SFC and other regulatory authorities; evaluating and advising on the legal and regulatory impact of new proposed business lines or products; coordinating with, and educating business leaders on proactive measures and approaches to manage potential regulatory exposure; as well as managing external counsel on the related litigation and investigations matters.
The ideal candidate will be a Hong Kong qualified lawyer with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience in financial regulatory/financial services litigation with an international law firm and/or with a regulatory authority in Hong Kong. In-house legal experience would be nice-to-have but not mandatory. Candidates must have excellent command of both English (written and spoken) and Chinese (reading and spoken).
