Job description

Our client, a well-established international bank, is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Treasury Operations Officer to join its Treasury Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates and junior banking professionals who are keen to build a career in treasury and financial markets operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and verify treasury market transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform maker/checker duties for treasury transactions and other operational activities assigned by the Team Head and Group Head.
  • Prepare, review, and authorize payment instructions related to treasury transactions.
  • Confirm trade and settlement details with counterparties and customers via phone and other communication channels.
  • Verify transaction details and ensure accurate posting of accounting entries.
  • Prepare and review treasury-related reports for Head Office and regulatory authorities.
  • Respond to enquiries from counterparties and internal stakeholders regarding transaction settlement matters.
  • Liaise closely with Treasury Dealers, Operations teams, and Business Units to resolve settlement discrepancies and transaction-related queries.
  • Coordinate with brokers and counterparties on trade confirmations and settlement clarifications.
  • Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Prior experience in treasury operations, settlements, payment operations, financial markets, or banking operations will be an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of treasury products, foreign exchange, money market, fixed income, or derivatives is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and control awareness.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
