The Team
As a Director of Enterprise Architecture, you will be part of Group Digital Architecture Team within the Integration Services Centre of Excellence. Integration Services involves APIs, event streaming, and microservice architecture. You will help define and drive business and technology solutions on high-priority initiatives. You’ll work with people from a variety of Business Units and technology teams to define and build common solutions – platforms, systems, components, software, and standards – that fuels our current and future business objectives. You will bring your expertise and skills into a diverse team of architects and engineers, encouraging relationships with technology leaders, engineers, developers, and architects from across the firm – inspiring and driving towards a more powerful new generation of products and platforms. The team is committed to providing leadership through practical problem solving, developing prototypes and proofs-of-concept, harvesting production information, modelling, documentation, and peer relationships.
The Expertise You have
7+ years of experience in defining and delivering on application or software architectures, architecture strategies, and solutions – establishing capabilities and patterns for enterprises
2+ years in successfully leveraging public cloud service providers (AWS and / or Azure) to deliver enterprise-scale solutions that are resilient, secure, and dynamic – “growth platforms and patterns”
Proven success in defining and guiding delivery of shared platforms, systems, components, or code that is used by multiple business organizations to address a common capability need
Proven expertise in working collaboratively with distributed teams of engineers and architects to align on key architectural and technical decisions and direction – and seeing those through execution
Deep expertise in one or more of the following technology areas: Software Engineering, RESTful API design and implementation, Security Architecture, Streaming and Data Integration Services, Managed File Transfer, Observability, Resiliency. Experience with analytics, specifically application technology measurements and metrics.

Ability to capture big picture ideas and turn them into architectures, technology designs, and/or software that provides reusable capabilities and patterns
Possesses skills commensurate with the area of deep expertise, and as applicable, knowledge of or contributions to the open-source software community in the related area
