Senior Data Scientist

Job description

​Our client believes the power of data relying in the hands of those who know how to transform them into tangible business values. They’re seeking an experienced Lead Data Scientist to work together with our business units to identify hidden opportunities and to create incremental business values.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and support software including AI systems, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements.

• Deploy AI systems to production.

• Working collaboratively with project manager, machine learning development team, and end-users during the phases of requirement, design, and development to ensure quality of deliverables and service. Prepare technical documents and reports.

• You are reporting to the Head of Data Science.  You lead the end-to-end project with your team member data scientists from understanding the business requirements to the insight generation and to the campaign development.  You design the model and make sure it is scalable.

• In addition to complex data science/analysis projects, you will also work on new PoC and R&D projects to anticipate the business needs. It will be your responsibility to guide the stakeholders on the right data transformation approach, creating the models and using the tools you have.   You also collaborate with product design and platform support to develop an understanding of needs, and enable smarter business processes—and implement analytics for meaningful insights

Requirements:

• Master’s And/or bachelor’s degree in data science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant disciplines

• Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience

• Experience in deploying and monitoring AI/ML models with web and mobile applications.

• Knowledge in machine learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch

• Experience in RDBMS (e.g. MS SQL, Oracle) and/or NoSQL DB (e.g. MongoDB) is a plus.

• A master’s degree or PhD in Statistics, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or any other related quantitative field.  

• 7+ years of working experience in a data science capacity, preferably working as a Lead or Senior Data Scientist in the last 2 years.  No preference for the background sector but a first experience in Retail/FMCG/Property/Telecom is a plus.  You will also have a demonstrated and successful experience leading a data science team through the implementation of new data science models, tools, and techniques that lead to improvement if business performance due to a continued culture of informed decision-making.  Strong technical understanding of personalization and marketing automation is preferred.

• Extensive experience solving analytical issues through quantitative approaches and machine learning methods as well as vast experience using advanced statistical methods, data mining techniques, and information retrieval.   Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis.  Advanced pattern recognition and predictive modeling experience.

• Deep Learning projects: NLP/computer vision, neural network.  Coding abilities at least one of the following languages: Python and R.
