We’re seeking a collaborative, self-motivated Head- Application Delivery with a strong passion for customer-centricity, learning, and innovative problem solving. This role provides an exciting opportunity to manage and support multiple teams across the Insurance Value chain and these teams partner closely with our engineering enablement platform partners and users to leverage cutting-edge technologies. You would have the opportunity to design and manage application portfolio which helps us provide a best-in-class partner, customer, and employee experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the entire capability development initiative across Hong Kong, Australia and North Europe that translates into planning, initiating, and executing multiple transformational IT programs and projects aimed at building new IT Applications, legacy systems upgrading and enhancing existing systems.

• Drive execution across projects to ensure on time delivery and quality to meet business needs.

• Establish, lead, and run the central project management office (PMO) to effectively monitor and track project progress and deliverables responsible by in-house project team, SI, and vendor.

• Ability to lead a team of senior IT professionals (~50-100 FTEs) including project managers, technical leads, business analysts both internally and vendor managed.

• Work closely with stakeholders and executive leadership including CXOs to manage expectations, scope, and delivery.

• Communicate project status, highlight, and flag risks, collaborate with peers and stakeholders to drive mitigation actions.

• Collaborate with business partners across functions to develop capability build strategy and roadmap on an ongoing basis.

• Provide leadership and guidance in incident and problem solving to increase resolution throughput and increase system stability through root cause solutions thereby reducing incident inflow. Relentlessly pursue Agile and Design-Thinking Methodology for project delivery on top of the SDLC processes; Information Systems Architecture, Capability Maturity Model (CMM), and ISO Standards

Job Qualifications:

• A thorough grasp of technology concepts, business operations, design, and development tools, software engineering and technical standards—typically acquired through 15+ years of related experience.

• Experience working in a high paced, global environment with a multi-language, multi-geography, multi-cultural context. Strong English language capabilities are a must for the role; additional languages like Thai, Vietnamese, Mandarin would be a plus.

• Should have a thorough understanding of IT best practices for applications.

• Understanding of Insurance business and applications will be a plus.

• Strong oral and written communication skills—and a knack for explaining your decision-making process to non-engineers.

• A collaborative, adaptable working style, demonstrated initiative and the ability to prioritize your time and efforts.

• Consultative skills, including the ability to understand and assist in applying customer requirements.

• Ability to balance the long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of decisions.

• Should have prior experience of working on applications with APIs and interfaces.

• Extensive understanding of working in an agile environment utilizing Scrum, Kanban, or XP.

• Demonstrated success in platform modernization initiatives of legacy financial services applications with cloud native technologies.
