About Our Client

Our client is a global leader in the FMCG industry with a portfolio of products. As a result of their rapid growth, they are seeking a General Manager to join the team.


Job Description

  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement the company's strategic plans, in alignment with the overall business objectives and market trends. Identify growth opportunities, evaluate potential risks, and make data-driven decisions to ensure sustainable growth.

  • Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of the company's operations, including production, supply chain, logistics, and distribution. Implement efficient processes and procedures to optimize productivity, minimize costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Financial Performance: Drive financial success by setting and achieving revenue targets, managing budgets, and monitoring key financial indicators. Analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of managers and professionals. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to develop talent and ensure employee engagement and retention.

  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Stay abreast of market trends, consumer behaviors, and competitive landscape. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats. Use market insights to drive product development and marketing strategies.

  • Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, retailers, and industry associations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals.


The Successful Applicant

  • University graduate with at least 15 years' experience in FMCG industry

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • Network and relationship with trade channels is a must

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or in a senior leadership role within the FMCG industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of FMCG market dynamics, trends, and challenges.

  • Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth and improve profitability.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
