Job description
This is a position that offers both Risk Control and Compliance exposure towards Fixed Income and FX trading as well as Treasury and Cash Management business. The role will be a mix of daily routine tasks and supporting the Head of Risk Oversight Asia, and Head of Branch Compliance with monitoring tasks. This is primarily a Risk Control role with some support towards the Compliance functions.
Given the broad range of tasks, this will be a challenging role with good potential to grow in experience and knowledge.
Reporting to: Head of Compliance Hong Kong (locally), Head of Risk Oversight Asia (functionally)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Risk Oversight
Daily monitoring of local limits
Identify, monitor, analyses, control and present risks to local stakeholders including Management team in Hong Kong as well Risk Oversight management
Work closely with the local business and support functions, as well as the global organization
Challenge and support the 1st line of defense in risk issues
Ensure that Group Risk policies and “way of working” are implemented locally
Ensure all Non-Financial risk tools and procedures are efficiently implemented, and continuously supported, including trainings, New Product Approval Process, incident handling, Crisis Management Exercise etc.
Run and participate in projects across all Group Risk geographies
Compliance
Assist in ad-hoc/routine questionnaires/assessments upon regulators’ requests;
Provide AML/CFT support and guidance to business units.
Qualification
Graduate degree or other professional qualification is required;
2-3 years relevant working experience in the financial industry;
Effective communication and organizational skills are required and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, cooperate up, down, and across the employee chain;
Preferably with good understanding of products in the areas of FX and Fixed Income;
Strong reading, interpretation and analytical skills;
Diligent, proactive, and willing to keep learning;
Appreciate to work in a global organization – teamwork & cooperation
Ability to structure, co-ordinate and organise tasks in a busy environment and to work independently;
Strong written and spoken English and Chinese.
