A well-established real estate group headquartered in Hong Kong with a legacy spanning many decades is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to support its expansive real estate portfolio. This position offers a strategic role in navigating complex legal frameworks across both residential and commercial property matters, while contributing to operational integrity and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support on conveyancing and property-related transactions, including acquisition, presale, leasing, and tenancy matters across residential and commercial segments.
- Review and prepare legal documentation in accordance with relevant ordinances, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
- Advise internal stakeholders on building management, ownership governance, and related legal challenges.
- Contribute to the organization's broader legal initiatives, offering input on cross-functional matters and helping shape policy execution.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified solicitor in Hong Kong with minimum 8 years of post-qualification experience in real estate law, preferably including both private practice and in-house roles.
- Proficient in the Conveyancing and Property Ordinance, Residential Properties (First-hand Sales) Ordinance, and Building Management Ordinance.
- Solid experience in handling both first-hand and second-hand property transactions, along with exposure to commercial leasing and asset operations.
- Prior involvement in real estate-related dispute resolution or litigation is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English and Chinese, with the ability to convey complex legal matters effectively.
- Independent, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
