About the Role

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a central role in navigating complex litigation and regulatory challenges. Working within a dynamic, high-performing legal team, you'll deliver strategic guidance, lead dispute resolution, and craft responses to issues with far-reaching impact across the financial sector. Your expertise will safeguard the business while helping to chart its long-term direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic advisory: Provide counsel to senior stakeholders on litigation, regulatory, and investigative matters.
  • Litigation leadership: Drive dispute resolution strategies, manage external counsel, and prepare for hearings.
  • Risk evaluation: Analyze evidentiary strength and assess exposure in active and potential cases.
  • Policy influence: Contribute legal insight to operational initiatives and governance frameworks.
  • Investigations support: Partner on internal investigations, ensuring compliance and ethical standards.
  • Team development: Mentor junior lawyers and foster a culture of excellence.

What We're Looking For

  • Hong Kong-qualified solicitor with 10+ years' PQE in litigation and financial regulation.
  • Strong academic background from a respected institution.
  • International law firm training with proven experience in complex matters.
  • Language skills: Fluent English and proficiency in Chinese.
  • Analytical strength: Ability to distill complex issues into clear, actionable advice.
  • Collaborative approach with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
