Our client is a multinational company with a strong international presence, operating in numerous countries with a diverse and expansive workforce. It is renowned for its innovation, commitment to excellence, and ability to navigate complex challenges. The company is now seeking an Asia Head of Legal to spearhead legal strategies, risk management, and compliance across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the Group General Counsel based in the headquarter and lead a team of five lawyers across Asia
- Provide expert legal counsel on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and commercial transactions
- Manage contract negotiations, risk assessments, and dispute resolution
- Partner with senior leadership to ensure legal strategies align with business objectives
Requirements:
- Lawyer admitted in Hong Kong (highly preferred) or a Commonwealth jurisdiction with at least 12 years of PQE
- At least 5 years of experience in an in-house legal environment, including 2+ years of managing a team.
- Fluency in English and Chinese
- Strong commercial mindset with a deep understanding of business operations
- Proven ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Outstanding leadership and stakeholder management skills
