Director - Leveraged Finance Origination (Sponsor Coverage)

Job description

Our client, a foreign corporate investment bank, is seeking a Director - M&A / Leveraged Finance Origination (Sponsor Coverage).

• Seeking for an experienced Leveraged Finance Origination (Underwriting) candidate.
• Have strong, direct relationships with private equity firms, particularly senior members of investment and capital markets teams.
• Sourcing M&A acquisition financing (leverage financing) opportunities by networking with global buyout funds (private equity), strategic investors in APAC, and other regions.
• Maintain a high-level sponsor network capable of bringing underwriting (not just participation) opportunities.
• Possess banking-style leveraged finance expertise, including control deals and senior loan structures.

Qualifications:

• Possession of SFC Type 1, 4, and 6 Executive Officer (EO) licenses or the ability to obtain these licenses promptly.
• Strong relationships with key players in the M&A market, including buyout funds.
• Working knowledge of cross-border M&A, acquisition financing, and relevant accounting and legal concepts.
• Native or fluent in English.

Education / Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in leveraged finance, private equity, or investment banking.
• Extensive experience in sponsor financing for large or medium-sized target companies.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics from a top-ranked university.
