Job description
A newly created opportunity is now available for an experienced Legal Officer/Paralegal to contribute to the legal and compliance functions of a leading multinational company. This role offers direct exposure to regional legal matters and close collaboration with senior leadership across Asia Pacific.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Regional General Counsel in contract-related matters, including commercial agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts, and service arrangements
- Conduct legal research on regulatory changes, compliance obligations, and corporate governance standards
- Maintain and enhance legal templates and contract management systems
- Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, HR, IT, Marketing) to ensure legal alignment across business initiatives
- Manage legal documentation and ensure proper archiving and confidentiality
- Assist with company secretarial tasks such as entity registration, deregistration, and statutory filings
- Coordinate with external counsel and company secretaries on filings and regulatory matters
Ideal Candidate
- Fluent in English and Mandarin, with prior experience as a paralegal, legal officer or legal assistant in a law firm or corporate legal department
- Experience in company secretarial work for private companies is an advantage
- Knowledge of regional legal frameworks across APAC is desirable
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives in multicultural environment
