Job description
What will you do:
Process and rationalize structured data and semi/unstructured data and ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into “single system” design data platform to fulfill the business/technical requirement.
Demonstrate a continual desire to implement “strategic” or “optimal” solutions and where possible, avoid workarounds or short-term tactical solutions.
Work with team(s) (local and remote) through problem definition, issue identification and work plan development using problem solving principles and past experience.
Adopt existing organizational data standards and design. Then evaluate the adopted elements on whether we need to enrich and enhance according to the local specificities.
Identify the gap between business requirement and data architecture and propose solution to resolve/shorten the gap.
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure that robust communication and escalation mechanisms are in place across the project portfolio.
Work closely with other team members (local and global) on all data related tasks.
Deliver robust solution, easy to maintain and designed to support future requirements and data volumes.
What are we looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Equivalent. Postgraduate qualification a definite plus.
4+ years' experience in data engineering or related role
Knowledge and experience with working in a Retail, e-Commerce, and CRM environment
Extensive experience working with SQL
Strong experience in data modelling, data warehousing and ETL. Talend will be a plus
Experience with support and implementation of data pipelines.
Experience with handling massive dataset in cloud data platforms (Big Query, Redshift, Snowflake)
Knowledge with Tableau, Cognos will be a plus
Experience with working on Customer Data topics. Knowledge of graph database will both be a plus.
Experience with Python will be a plus
Experience with relational DBS will be a plus (MS SQL, PostgreSQL)
