What You'll Do
- Act as a trusted advisor to the regional leadership team, providing practical solutions on legal and regulatory matters.
- Lead negotiations and review of key commercial agreements, ensuring business interests are protected while maintaining compliance.
- Champion compliance initiatives, training teams and embedding ethical practices across the region.
- Oversee dispute management, working closely with external counsel to resolve issues efficiently and strategically.
- Drive governance standards, ensuring corporate records and filings are maintained to the highest level.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified lawyer with at least 10 years' post-qualification experience, combining law firm and in-house regional roles.
- Licensed in China or with a proven track record of substantial China-related legal work, plus broader Asia Pacific exposure.
- Strong ability to balance legal risk with commercial opportunity, offering pragmatic and strategic guidance to senior stakeholders.
- Solid background in company law with hands-on experience in dispute resolution.
- Compliance expertise considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English, able to operate seamlessly in diverse international markets.
