VP - Industry Research (Japanese N1) - Foreign Bank

Our client, a renowned foreign corporate bank, is seeking a VP - Industry Research (Japanese N1) candidate.

Job Description

• Develop industry research ideas (Chinese industry and/or Materials & Chemical industry preferred), to support the team in gathering various information and advising companies and state authorities in the region, primarily in Greater China and Japan, with potential outreach to other Asian countries as needed.
• Understand industry trends through discussions with customers, industry experts, and research activities.
• Identify client needs and provide professional strategic solutions.
• Conduct meetings with clients through business trips (1-2 times per month, primarily in Greater China).
• Establish and leverage a network with relevant parties, including divisions and branches and third-party service providers.
• Collaborate closely with team members to enhance work processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial industry or research roles.
• Preferred research experience in the Chinese industry and/or Materials & Chemical sectors.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written Japanese (N1), English, and Chinese.
• Self-motivated, diligent, and able to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with MS Office.
