Job description

About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused EAS Engineer to support the growing adoption of professional audio systems. This role is ideal for a technical expert who thrives on bridging advanced sound technology with real-world learning spaces such as lecture theaters, auditoriums, and multi-purpose halls.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring institutions achieve exceptional audio performance that enhances teaching, presentations, and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with educational clients to assess acoustic requirements and recommend tailored audio system designs that optimise clarity, coverage, and intelligibility in learning spaces.
  • Provide expert application engineering support, including system configuration, DSP programming, networking setup and integration with classroom AV/IT infrastructure.
  • Deliver pre- and post-sales technical assistance - both remotely and on-site - covering installation guidance, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
  • Conduct hands-on training workshops and user education sessions for teachers, IT teams, and facility managers to ensure smooth adoption and long-term system success.
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales, project management, and R&D teams to support education-sector tenders, demonstrations, and custom solutions.
  • Document technical cases, create application guides, and contribute to the continuous improvement of best-practice resources for educational deployments.
  • Stay ahead of trends in educational technology, acoustics, and audio innovation to propose forward-thinking solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher diploma) in Audio Engineering, Acoustics, Sound Technology, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in professional audio application engineering or technical support, ideally with exposure to institutional or education projects.
  • Strong practical knowledge of sound reinforcement systems, room acoustics, digital signal processing, and modern networked audio protocols.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as measurement, modelling/simulation platforms, and AV system controllers.
  • Excellent communication skills and able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable advice for non-technical educators and administrators.
  • Proven problem-solving ability under pressure and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel domestically/internationally for site visits and training as required.
