Job description
Our client, a highly renowned and globally recognized Financial Service firm with a robust presence in the international financial industry, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel that looks after their corporate finance activities.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive legal advice and services to the organization's business units, offering support in various corporate initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring activities
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documents
Scrutinize announcements and circulars to ensure compliance with all applicable Listing Rule requirements
Manage inquiries and liaise with regulatory bodies and enforcement agencies
Oversee and coordinate the handling of basic litigation matters, including collaboration with external legal counsel
Furnish well-informed legal opinions to the organization's business units
Undertake ad-hoc assignments as required
Requirements
HK qualified lawyer with minimum 5 years' PQE, ideally in a well-regarded law firm or strong in-house practice; experience in SOE will be an advantage; capital market related experience will be a plus;
Substantial experience in managing commercial legal matters, with a desirable background in advising listed corporations
Enthusiastic, possessing excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and under pressure
Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese
