Job description
About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Manager to develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive corporate security program. The primary objective of this role is to safeguard our client's most valuable assets: intellectual property (IP), proprietary design details, manufacturing processes, and overall business strategy. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of building a robust security culture across all levels of the organization.
What You Will Do
- Design, implement, and maintain an integrated security framework encompassing physical, information, and personnel security.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats to IP, designs, and processes.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Serve as the company's foremost expert on the protection of technical IP, including circuit designs, process recipes, and material formulations.
- Classify information assets and implement stringent access control measures (e.g., Role-Based Access Control, Need-to-Know principle).
- Manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools and monitor data flows to prevent unauthorized exfiltration of sensitive data.
- Secure the R&D and engineering environments, including network segmentation and secure development practices.
- Manage and enhance physical security measures across all facilities, including manufacturing plants, R&D labs, and offices.
- Oversee access control systems (badges, biometrics), video surveillance (CCTV), intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
- Establish and enforce security protocols for sensitive areas such as cleanrooms, fabrication floors, and server rooms.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree holder in Business Administration / Manufacturing Engineering or related
- A proven track record (8-10 years) in corporate security, with significant experience within high-tech manufacturing, semiconductors, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, or other IP-intensive industries.
- Experience in a China or Hong Kong-based multinational corporation is highly advantageous.
- Has firsthand experience designing and running programs specifically aimed at protecting intellectual property, trade secrets, and proprietary manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to IP protection, data privacy (e.g., GDPR, PDPO in HK / CHINA), and corporate security.
- Has been responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of security initiatives from risk assessment and policy development to implementation, training, and audit.
- Fluency in English & Mandarin and Cantonese is highly preferred.
