Job description
My client is currently seeking for Facilities Engineer / Assistant Facilities Manager.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations and preventive maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical (HV/LV), UPS, chillers, mechanical equipment, and fire protection systems.
Monitor system performance and respond to faults to ensure safe, reliable, and uninterrupted facility operations.
Support incident management and escalation procedures, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
Assist in supervising engineering teams and duty technicians, providing technical guidance and ensuring operational readiness.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance, repairs, and project works, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Prepare and update SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs for critical systems and operational workflows.
Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover of new equipment, system upgrades, and renovation projects.
Ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and internal QEMS standards through proper documentation and audit support.
Assist in budgeting, asset planning, and lifecycle replacement schedules for critical equipment.
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners, including cloud service providers and building management teams.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, or related discipline.
3-8 years of relevant experience in facilities management, data centers, commercial buildings, or critical environments.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and life‑safety systems.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs, incident handling, and vendor management.
Good communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
Professional certifications (e.g., REW, LEED, BEAM, BO) are an advantage.
