Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for private practice M&A lawyers looking to go in-house. The successful candidate will work on a wide array of corporate and investment matters including high-profile M&A, joint ventures, and outbound investments across the globe with a particular focus on Asia, North America and Europe.
- Up to 1.5M base salary per annum, bonus on top
- HK qualified lawyers without Chinese language skills would also be considered
- Must have experience in advising on M&A transactions in the UK and USA
The successful candidate will work on a broad mix of the said transactions involving an international dimension with responsibilities of providing legal advice and transactional support from due diligence to closings, and drafting and negotiating transactional documents. In addition, he or she will assist with general corporate advisory work/training and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be a Hong Kong qualified lawyer with at least 7/8 years of post qualification experience gained with an international law firm or in the legal department of a sizable company in Hong Kong. He/she must have an excellent academic background and experience in advising on M&A transactions in the UK and USA, and must be highly proficient in written and spoken English.
