Job description
About the Role:
Conduct thorough analysis of historical sales performance and current market trends to identify potential business risks and opportunities.
Establish systematic methodologies and tools to closely monitor inventory turnover rates and sales trend data, enabling the development of comprehensive forecasts segmented by brand, product category, and geographic location.
Supervise the strategic planning and forecasting of future merchandise purchases, categorized by brand and product categories.
Collaborate closely with the buying team to develop product line plans that align with top-down and bottoms-up open-to-buy (OTB) plans.
Devise and execute effective strategies for markdowns to ensure seamless and efficient in-store promotional pricing.
Identify slow-moving or outdated inventory and create a liquidation strategy, coordinating with the buying and sales teams to formulate action plans and review outcomes.
Lead weekly business review sessions with cross-functional teams to analyze performance, delve into sales trends, and provide quantitative and qualitative insights.
Generate regular inventory reports for management review and implement improvement plans to optimize inventory levels.
Work closely with the IT team to ensure data integrity and drive continuous improvement in reporting efficiency.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.
About the Candidate:
University degree holder in business, supply chain, or a related field.
Possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in buying or planning, with at least 3 years of managerial experience preferred.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and cross-functional teams.
Advanced computer proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and knowledge of business intelligence (BI) tools is a plus.
