Job description
Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join their Operations Department. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the monitoring and execution of daily operations related to import/export trade and financial instruments. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with a solid background in trade services to contribute to a dynamic and reputable organization.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and monitor daily operations, ensuring the accurate execution of various import/export trade and financial instrument transactions. This includes account receivable financing, factoring, and extensive experience in handling Non-trade Bonds/Guarantees/Standby L/C transactions.
Conduct document checks for import/export transactions presented against Letters of Credit (LC) in accordance with the Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits (UCP) and other internationally recognized standards.
Ensure that all transactions meet service standards and comply with the established procedure manual.
Assist in the review of relevant policies and guidelines, and actively contribute to ad hoc duties and projects assigned by Management. Provide cross-team support as required within the Banking Operations department.
Requirements:
Hold a degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in trade services operations. Preferably, possess 3 years of experience in trade customer services and supervisory roles.
Possess sound knowledge of ICC UCP, URC, ISBP rules, and other relevant trade-related regulations.
Familiarity with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanction regulations, and pre-assessment checking of transactions is highly desirable.
Demonstrate a meticulous, organized, and independent work style, with the ability to perform under pressure in a multitasking environment.
Possess excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
Proficiency in using PC applications, particularly MS Word and Excel
