We're seeking a seasoned legal professional to play a pivotal role in supporting the specialised credit and structured products business of a leading global financial institution with a strong footprint across Asia Pacific, known for its collaborative culture, innovative mindset, and commitment to excellence. What You'll Do
As Legal Vice President, you'll be instrumental in guiding the legal execution of bespoke financing solutions across the region. Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising on legal frameworks and transaction execution for structured credit products, ensuring alignment with internal standards and commercial objectives.
- Leading the negotiation and review of deal-specific documentation such as NDAs, mandate letters, term sheets, loan and security agreements, and issuance materials.
- Managing external counsel relationships, overseeing legal workstreams, and coordinating with internal stakeholders across jurisdictions.
- Acting as a key legal contact for product originators and internal teams, resolving issues and escalating complex matters when needed.
- Supporting broader team initiatives and contributing to regional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
We're seeking a strategic legal professional with expertise in structured finance. Ideal candidates will bring:
- A law degree and admission to practice in any jurisdiction, with 8+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong background in structured finance, capital markets, or derivatives, with the ability to navigate complex legal documentation and provide commercially sound advice.
- Familiarity with structured finance and credit derivatives instruments.
- A proactive approach to legal risk management and the ability to adapt processes to evolving business needs.
- Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and coordinating with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
