Job description
Our client is a reputable and well-established bank, recognized for its commitment to excellence and customer-centric approach. The AVP of Regulatory Reporting will play a pivotal role in supporting the team head within the Financial Accounting & Regulatory Reporting function of the Accounting & Finance Department.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial and regulatory reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to applicable guidelines.
Compile and review Financial Disclosure Statements, Statistical Reports, and Surveys as required by regulatory bodies.
Assist in month-end and year-end closings, ensuring all financial activities are properly accounted for.
Contribute to financial reporting, financial analysis, and tax compliance duties.
Ensure compliance with relevant professional standards and regulatory requirements by continuously reviewing and updating accounting and finance policies and procedures.
Participate in the implementation of new accounting standards, as well as user acceptance testing (UAT) for systems.
Prepare reports for senior management, Head Office, and regulatory authorities, providing comprehensive and insightful information.
Undertake ad hoc assignments as directed.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
Possess a recognized accounting qualification.
At least 5 years in the banking industry, demonstrating expertise in financial control and regulatory reporting functions.
Proven managerial experience is preferred
In-depth knowledge of HK Banking, Company, and HK IRD regulatory requirements.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a hands-on approach to work.
