About the Family Office

My client is a private family office committed to creating meaningful and sustainable social impact through strategic philanthropy, community investment, and long‑term partnerships. They are now seeking an experienced Philanthropy Manager to drive programme design, grant governance, impact reporting, and stakeholder engagement across our growing portfolio.

The Role

As the Philanthropy Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the Family Office's philanthropic strategy.

You will oversee end‑to‑end grantmaking processes, identify high‑impact opportunities, manage partnerships with NGOs and community organisations, and ensure our giving reflects the family's values and long‑term vision.

This is an exciting opportunity for a purpose‑driven professional who is passionate about empowering communities and building scalable, meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Philanthropy & Programme Management

  • Support the development and refinement of the Family Office's philanthropic strategy.
  • Identify potential partners, programmes, and investment opportunities aligned with priority focus areas.
  • Manage full-cycle grantmaking: proposal assessment, due diligence, budgeting, contracting, and monitoring.

Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with NGOs, foundations, academic institutions, government bodies, and community partners.
  • Represent the Family Office at site visits, events, steering committees, and community engagements.

Impact Measurement & Reporting

  • Develop frameworks to measure programme effectiveness and long-term social impact.
  • Prepare reports, case studies, and presentations for internal stakeholders and family principals.
  • Generate insights and recommendations to inform future funding decisions.

Communications & Governance

  • Draft communication materials, including briefings, meeting papers, press content, speeches, and impact stories.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance standards and best practices in philanthropy and ESG.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, grant records, and evaluation data.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Sciences, Public Policy, International Development, Business, Sustainability, Communications or related fields.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in philanthropy, corporate foundation, NGO management, ESG/CSR, community investment, or social impact consulting.
  • Strong grounding in grant governance, programme evaluation, stakeholder management, and cross‑sector collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Cantonese and Mandarin are strong advantages.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Passionate about community impact, social innovation, and purpose‑driven work.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to influence and shape meaningful, multi‑year community investment initiatives.
  • A values‑driven culture with a genuine commitment to social impact.
  • Exposure to diverse philanthropic portfolios across local and regional markets.
  • Competitive compensation package based on experience.
