Highly regarded Main Board listed conglomerate is inviting a legal manager to join its Regional Legal, Regulatory and Corporate Governance Team based in Hong Kong.
Reporting to the Regional General Counsel, the successful candidate will work as subject matter expert for Data Privacy. He/she will coordinate and liaise with different departments including sales, IT, and HR etc. in relation to all data privacy issues and will ensure that data privacy processes and procedures are adhered to across the business. Duties will include preparing and drafting enterprise-wide control policy, liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure their best practice and adequacy in protecting company data, coordinate with the training team to design training programs in association with data privacy topics, as well as provide legal support relating to employment law matters when needed.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Law and preferably be licensed to practice law in Hong Kong or any other jurisdictions with at least 5 years of relevant post qualification experience in Hong Kong/China. Non-lawyer candidates with more than 8 years of solid data privacy experience would also be considered. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin) required.
