Job description
Our client is a leading fund service provider, recognized as a standard bearer in financial and legal services. They are trusted by many of the world's largest hedge fund managers, private equity firms, and international corporations. Currently, they are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP – Fund Services to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic planning for the team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of middle-office support services.
Coordinate and manage funding, securities, foreign exchange, and information flows to meet settlement obligations and market timelines.
Act as a point of escalation for internal and external operational issues, collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth coordination.
Foster a culture of compliance within the team, ensuring adherence to procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Serve as the primary contact for sub-custodians, banks, and counterparties, monitoring their service levels.
Offer expert guidance to clients on navigating complex global securities markets and international banking practices.
Manage the preparation, implementation, and documentation of new deals, including market access and account setup.
Regularly review key performance indicators (KPIs), track progress, and optimize resource allocation.
Identify opportunities for system enhancements, process automation, and workflow streamlining to improve efficiency and productivity.
Develop and mentor team members to adapt to evolving business needs and industry trends.
Requirements:
Preferably a degree holder, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the banking or financial services industry.
Strong attention to detail with excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
Knowledge of SWIFT, Bloomberg, and central depositories.
General understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to stay abreast of investment market trends and regulatory changes.
Highly self-motivated with a commitment to delivering excellence.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
