Job description

Our client is a leading fund service provider, recognized as a standard bearer in financial and legal services. They are trusted by many of the world's largest hedge fund managers, private equity firms, and international corporations. Currently, they are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP – Fund Services to join their team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic planning for the team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of middle-office support services.

  • Coordinate and manage funding, securities, foreign exchange, and information flows to meet settlement obligations and market timelines.

  • Act as a point of escalation for internal and external operational issues, collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth coordination.

  • Foster a culture of compliance within the team, ensuring adherence to procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Serve as the primary contact for sub-custodians, banks, and counterparties, monitoring their service levels.

  • Offer expert guidance to clients on navigating complex global securities markets and international banking practices.

  • Manage the preparation, implementation, and documentation of new deals, including market access and account setup.

  • Regularly review key performance indicators (KPIs), track progress, and optimize resource allocation.

  • Identify opportunities for system enhancements, process automation, and workflow streamlining to improve efficiency and productivity.

  • Develop and mentor team members to adapt to evolving business needs and industry trends.

 

Requirements:

  • Preferably a degree holder, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the banking or financial services industry.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.

  • Knowledge of SWIFT, Bloomberg, and central depositories.

  • General understanding of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to stay abreast of investment market trends and regulatory changes.

  • Highly self-motivated with a commitment to delivering excellence.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
