Job description

Our client is a reputable financial institution with a strong presence in the banking industry. They are currently seeking a Manager, Trade Support to oversee the Trade Support function and play a critical role in ensuring the efficient processing of trades and related activities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Trade Support team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.

  • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of trades, corporate actions, and foreign exchange instructions, adhering to market deadlines and regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct compliance checks to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies.

  • Investigate and resolve trade-related issues, working closely with fund managers and other stakeholders.

  • Update and maintain static data, ensuring accuracy and completeness for portfolio management purposes.

  • Reconcile trade and corporate action details, identify discrepancies, and take necessary actions to ensure timely settlement.

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as portfolio management, operations, and compliance to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on trade support activities, key metrics, and any operational risks.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field

  • Proven experience in trade support or a related role within the financial industry.

  • Strong understanding of trade processing, corporate actions, and FX transactions.

  • Managerial or team leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.

  • Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance checks pertaining to trade support functions.

  • Proficiency in using relevant trade support systems and tools.

  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
