Job description

About the Role:

  • Develop regional merchandising strategies

  • Determine shoe product mix for each market

  • Collaborate with Business Planning to create seasonal open-to-buy plans

  • Participate in buying sessions in Paris to ensure optimal merchandise selection

  • Prepare sales forecasts for products

  • Provide sales planning data to Supply Chain Department for production distribution and allocation

  • Coordinate shoe-related issues between Paris HQ, countries, and boutiques

  • Share product information, sales strategies, and selling techniques with boutique network

  • Collaborate with Visual Merchandising team for product launches and boutique merchandising

  • Prepare product review reports

  • Analyze sales performance and propose action plans based on sell-through analysis

  • Manage inventory levels

  • Set retail pricing in line with price policy and global positioning

  • Optimize merchandise transfer to maximize sell-through

  • Propose and control season end discounts

  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and track market and product trends

  • Organize and coordinate promotional activities

  • Collaborate with Visual Merchandising team for cohesive launch and in-store merchandising

  • Coordinate with PR department for brand image promotion alignment

  • Work with Client Marketing team to understand client demands

  • Identify business opportunities and propose incentives to achieve sales targets

  • Coordinate with Paris for seasonal product training materials

  • Conduct product training and develop training tools as needed

  • Identify training requirements and propose new orientations

  • Provide product information, sales strategies, and selling techniques to boutique network

  • Establish strong working relationships with Merchanting team and retail teams in different categories

  • Support ad hoc projects and activities related to merchandising

 

About the Candidate:

  • University graduate in related discipline

  • Previous experience in luxury goods and services merchandising preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience

  • Strong analytical skills with a strategic decision-making approach

  • Excellent proficiency in Excel

  • Strong people management and training coaching skills

  • Language skills: English, Cantonese, Mandarin (other languages are an advantage)
